It appears that Nebraska 2011 signee Daniel Davie's' track season is over according to the Omaha World Herald.

It appears that Nebraska 2011 signee Daniel Davie's' track season is over according to the Omaha World Herald.

Davie, who missed time for recovery from shoulder surgery early in the season, now appears to have to sit out for academic reasons.

"He's coming to school every day and I think he's working hard to do his best,'' said Neal Randel, the school's athletic director. "Beyond that, I'm not able to detail where he's at.''

Federal privacy laws prohibit Beatrice school officials from talking about Davie's academic situation.

Last year as a junior, he won the state 100 and 200 meters. BigRedReport.com will have more hopefully in the coming days.
