The Nebraska coaches are giving me a lot of interest, I really like it," said Robinson to Fox Sports on Monday night. "I'm planning a visit down the road to Lincoln, but I haven't set one up yet.
"I could definitely see myself in the Big Ten. I like to hit. The only thing I'm looking for is how the people treat me in the recruitment process and while I'm there visiting. The people I have talked to say Nebraska is different than the west coast, but the football atmosphere is great. Good football is good football. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like there."
Last season, Robinson recorded 64 tackles, 32 of them for losses. It's caught the attention of many schools, including offers from: BYU, Arizona State, Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Nebraska and Nevada."
"Nebraska says I could come in and start as a freshman, or at least come in there and compete as a freshman," said Robinson. "To know they like me that much, it gives me a lot of confidence going into my senior year."
Robinson plans to take his time in the process and will choose not to participate in the Huskers camp in June.
"I'm thinking that I will start taking visits in June probably," said the junior. "I also want to visit Arizona State, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, and BYU. I'm really going to try to take my time in the recruiting process."
Over the next couple of months, the junior will be mostly working on his pass coverage skills when Chaparral starts spring practices. He proclaims his blitz skills are "good" at this point.
So what is the 2012 prospect looking for in a school down the road? Robinson shared with eDuck Sports on Sunday.
"The first thing I'm looking for is academics. Without academics, I'm not interested, because without academics there's no point in going to the college -- football isn't my whole life. After the academics, it's just the environment -- who I'm surrounding myself with so I won't get in to any trouble -- and third of all, the team and team chemistry. I don't want to go to a team where there's arguments; I want to go to a team where the tone is already set for me and I can come in a be a better person."
Robinson would like to major in the culinary arts. He plans to take his first official visit to Nebraska.
