Not in attendance

In a decision which Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini said was made a while ago, incoming freshman quarterback Bubba Starling sat out of practice today.

It's day one of Nebraska fall camp and the media wants to focus on the incoming freshman quarterback.

Getting our daily 15 minute looksee at the beginning of practice and stretches, the media was immediately put into a frenzy.

Where is Bubba Starling?

While everyone wanted to put the Twitter world on fire, we were told it needed to wait until after practice.

So where was Bubba? Turns out he's not in Kansas City, but still in Lincoln - just not working out with the team.

"You guys know the situations he's in. We will see all how it plays out," said Bo Pelini in front of nearly three dozen reporters.

"He's obviously got a lot to risk."

Pelini also reports that Starling is not on the 105 man roster and will not be until a decision is made.

This is great news for the media. It means now we have at least a couple more days to talk about this storyline.

The deadline to sign with the Royals is August 15th and 11 P.M.
