Local DT goes with Huskers
Despite an offer from Army and North Dakota, Papillion-LaVista senior defensive tackle Dylan Utter will be walking on at Nebraska. As a junior, Utter recorded 47 tackles and three sacks for the Monarchs. "It's just a once in a lifetime opportunity – all the perks it comes with. With all the academic support they give and the coaching staff my ability will be able to be maxed out in the classroom and on the field." Besides his two offers, Utter received major interest from Northern Iowa, North Dakota State, South Dakota, among others. "I considered NDSU, but knew that none of them can top my dream of being a Husker," said Utter, who has been a frequent visitor to Lincoln this season. "As a player, I'm going to work as hard as I can day in and day out and help out the team in any way I can. I want to set a good example for Husker nation." Expect more to come on Utter in the coming days. Josh Harvey has covered college football and recruiting for Fox Sports & Scout.com since 2008.
