In a Big Red Report and Fox Sports Next exclusive video, Fossil Ridge high school defensive tackle Aaron Curry told Erin Haritgan on Tuesday night that he was heading to Lincoln. The nation's No. 22 defensive tackle will fill a big hole for the Huskers in the 2012 class.
"At Nebraska, when I'm with the guys, I felt like I knew them my whole life," said Curry. "I like the coaches a whole bunch."
A 3-star player on Scout.com, Curry is the No. 96 overall prospect in the state of Texas. He joins Tommy Armstrong as the Huskers only two commitments from the Lone Star State.
Curry ultimately decided to be a Husker over Iowa, but also had offers from TCU, Missouri, Arizona, Baylor, Boise State, Mississippi, Texas A&M, among others.
Now Nebraska waits for another defensive tackle in the form of Edwardsville high school's (IL) Vincent Valentine. Valentine is also a 3-star prospect.
More to come on Big Red Report later today.
