Multiple media outlets are reporting that Nebraska is hosting Colorado State head coach Tim Miles today and the known candidate could be just hours away from officially being named the next Nebraska men’s basketball head coach. The Lincoln Journal Star’s Brian Rosenthal first reported the news.

Miles, 45, is 71-88 over five seasons with Colorado State, but guided the Rams to a 20-12 record and a NCAA Tournament appearance this season. The former North Dakota State head coach was left with only two of what was thought to be nine inherited players in his first year with the program.

He currently makes $585,000 according to multiple reports.

The Omaha World Herald has reported that a press conference Saturday morning is currently being scheduled.

To learn more about Miles, listen to Kelly Lyell of the Fort Collins Coloradoan. This interview took place yesterday on the Gaskins and Stephens show, with Big Red Report’s Josh Harvey filling in for Tom Stephens.
