NU associate athletic director Marc Boehm confirmed the payment Friday. Miles' contract at CSU required the $350,000 buyout if he left before June 30.
Miles had signed a three-year contract extension with the Rams last spring. Nebraska hired him last week.
Boehm said Miles' contract at Nebraska could be finished within two weeks.
