Former Missouri four-star high school talent Chase Rome has left the University of Nebraska football team. Head coach Bo Pelini confirmed the news regarding the sophomore defensive tackle after practice on Wednesday.
“Chase Rome is dealing with some personal issues and isn’t with the football team right now and won’t be for the foreseeable future," Pelini told reporters, including the Lincoln Journal Star. "His personal goals and personal perception of where he should be on this football team doesn't match the team, doesn't match the team goals."
Rome had recorded four tackles this season, but saw his playing time drastically reduced against UCLA last weekend.
