Hunt lines up two more visits
Dashon Hunt is one of the state's top two-way players and excels at both running back and defensive back. He's being recruited as a cover corner and has a very nice skill set and plays a lot bigger than his size would indicate. Hunt visited Nebraska the last weekend of September and said the incredible fan support still sticks out to him. "They love their football at Nebraska," Hunt said. "The fan support they have is second to none and looking back, that's what really stood out to me. Football is like a religion there and I really had a great time on the visit." Hunt set up two more trips and could end up taking three more total before he's ready to pull the trigger. "I'm going to Oregon State in two weeks (Nov. 3) when they host Arizona State," Hunt said. "Oregon State is playing really good football right now and they always seem to have good defensive backs. I'm looking forward to the visit and learning more about the school. "I also have a trip set with California for (Dec. 7). Cal is a great academic school and I've been high on them for a while now. They were on one of my first offers and I always planned on taking an official visit there so that should be a good time as well." Hunt wasn't sure how many more visits he'll take but did mention one other West Coast program. "I like Boise State and I may visit there as well," Hunt said. "They really want me to visit and I'm looking to do that. They didn't specify if I should visit during the season or after, they said whatever works best for me. "Right now, I'm not even sure how many more trips I can even take during the season. It's kind of up in the air so I'm just going to play it by ear. As for when I'll be ready to make my decision, I don't really know. It could be after my trip to Cal or Boise State if I take it. I've always said, I don't want to rush this so whenever I feel I'm ready to commit somewhere, I'll go ahead and do it."
