Snodgrass Enjoys Buckeye Visit

Wednesday found 2014 wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass visiting Ohio State and taking in practice. Snodgrass talked with FOXSportsNEXT.com following his visit with all the details and what Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer told him.

For Springfield (Ohio) 2014 wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass the chance to watch Ohio State practice and visit with Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer allowed the early FOXSportsNEXT.com four-star receiver to take some criticism about his play.

"My day at Ohio State was real good," said Snodgrass. "I was able to watch them practice and see the weight room and everything. But getting a chance to speak with Coach Meyer was great."

What did the Buckeyes head coach tell the 6-foot-2, 175-pound speed receiver?

"Coach Meyer asked me if I felt I played to my full potential this season," said Snodgrass. "He said he sees the potential in me and feels I can be the number one player in the nation, but said from the film he saw I've got to play much harder like I did at their camp."

Getting the chance to watch current Buckeye receivers in practice and spend time with quarterback Braxton Miller also gave Snodgrass a feel for what would be required if he signed with the Buckeyes.

"They hustle and go for the ball all the time," said Snodgrass. "Getting to talk with Braxton was good also as he was real encouraging telling me how I could help them in the future if I were to go there."

While there was talk of making a decision between Notre Dame and Ohio State as early as this week, Snodgrass has put that on hold until he can work out some small details.

"I'm not going to announce anything right now," said Snodgrass. "There have been some hang-ups at school so I'm looking at when I'll be ready to do it and will announce things then."

With the encouragement and assessment he received during his visit, Snodgrass seems ready to take his game to another level.

"I'm going to start working hard now to have a much better season next year," said Snodgrass. "That starts now with the work I do this off season."

FOXSportsNEXT.com will continue to follow the developments of one of Ohio's top prospects as they become available.
