That other in-state recruit that could be close to a Nebraska offer is Harrison Phillips. Phillips is a standout two-way lineman from Omaha (Nebr.) Millard West. Phillips has been to a couple of home games this fall to check out Lincoln and see a Nebraska home game.
Phillips star is definitley on the rise after a strong junior season. The 6-foot-4 and 240-pound lineman as a junior had 115 total tackles (80 unassisted and 35 assisted) including 35 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and 16 pass break ups.
"Hey I wanted to let you know that I got my first offer," Phillips reported. "Southa Dakota State saw my film and hours later I got a full ride offer. I am very excited. Hopefully it will bring more."
The South Dakota State will be the first of many to come for Phillips that is for sure. His junior film is making the rounds now and he is set to attend a combine in January that will continue to get the word out about his ability and encourage more interest and offers.
"I also was invited to the U.S. Army All-American combine in Texas. That will for sure bring attention to me. I am going for sure. I am really hoping for more offers. Iowa State is coming to my school today."
