Often the third tailback in Wisconsin's deep arsenal, redshirt freshman Melvin Gordon took his 56 yards for a touchdown and never slowed down. Finishing with career and team-high 216 yards on only nine carries, Gordon's first-half spark ignited the offense to another conference championship.

INDIANAPOLIS - Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said earlier in the season that, ideally, he wanted to give redshirt freshmen Melvin Gordon five-to-10 carries per game.
