Dashon Hunt from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake High School took an official visit to Nebraska back in late September. Hunt said that he didn't see Nebraska last week, but hosted two other schools.
"Nebraska didn't come by to see me last week," Hunt said. "Boise State and Oregon State did stop by to see me. Boise State was here Wednesday and Oregon State was Friday night.
"The head coach from Boise State will be here tonight (Monday). I am not sure beyond Monday night who else will be coming to see me for an in-home visit."
While Hunt didn't see Nebraska for an in-home he also said that the communication with Nebraska has been very hit and miss. Hunt says that he's still interested in Nebraska. There just hasn't been a chance to talk about setting up a visit.
"I haven't talked to Nebraska a lot. A little bit, but not really. I spoke with Coach Rich Fisher and we were supposed to set up a date for an in-home visit, but we haven't really communicated about it that much. I am still interested in Nebraska. I just haven't talked to them a lot."
Hunt is spending a lot of time working out and lifting weights since his season ended. He says that he doesn't run track in the spring. Instead he works out with a personal, speed trainer instead.
"I am just working out right now," Hunt said. "They wanted me to play basketball. I don't want to do anything to risk injuring myself. I am sticking to training for football. I do speed training in the spring instead of track."
