Lee Is a Hilltopper

Chicago Simeon (Ill.) senior defensive end Devante Lee has made his decision.

Western Kentucky picked up one of the Windy City's more talented prospects today when Simeon's 6'6, 225-lb defensive end Devante Lee chose the Hilltoppers.

"It's a smaller school. I didn't really want to go to a big huge school, there's a good chance for playing time, and they're winning."

Lee had other offers from San Diego State and Miami (Ohio), but the chance to play was important to him.

"They said there's a good opportunity with me coming in right away. They said I could compete by my redshirt freshman year."

He also says the coaching staff there is exactly what he had been searching for throughout his recruiting process.

"I haven't been to campus yet. I think the coaches are very genuine. The coaches I've met and dealt with are like family. That's what I always wanted to look for."
