Kenneth Santa Marina

Tulane landed the nation's 18th-ranked offensive guard prospect when McDonogh #35's Kenneth Santa Marina made his decision over the weekend...

  • Kenneth Santa Marina is the highest-ranked member of Tulane's 2013 recruiting class. Eight of the Green Wave's 19 commitments are ranked nationally with three-star prospects Santa Marina (No. 18 OG) and O.P. Walker DE Corey Smith leading the pack. John Curtis OL Brandon Godfrey is the country's 32nd-ranked center.

  • Another Tulane commit, Curtis MLB Eric Thomas, announced he'll take his official visit the second week in January. Thomas broke his ankle during a second-round playoff game at North Webster and recently underwent surgery.

  • Five-star 2014 OT Cameron Robinson (West Monroe) told TigerSportsDigest.com recruiting analyst Austin Cooper that he has four schools on top: LSU, Alabama, Texas and Texas A&M.

  • Robinson's former teammate at Ouachita, 2014 WR Cameron Sims, picked up a new offer from Ole Miss a couple of days ago. Sims has concrete plans to attend junior days at both Alabama and Washington. The Huskies, who hold a verbal from 2013 Ouachita prospect Caleb Tucker, have offered the 6-foot-4, 195-pound Sims.

  • Patterson three-star TE Deondre Skinner is committed to Arkansas, and the Razorbacks appear to be in great shape with Skinner voicing his approval of new head coach Bret Bielema and offensive coordinator Jim Chaney. Skinner did not take a previously-scheduled visit to Houston over the weekend, but says he'll likely make the trip in January. His former teammate, Trevon Stewart, had an outstanding true freshman year with the Cougars.

  • New Iberia Senior High 2014 DB Daniel Lewis attended the Ragin' Cajuns bowl practice Sunday evening. Lewis, who holds a Hawaii offer, says the Cajuns could offer during spring eval or summer camp. He could play RB, CB or SS in college.

  • 2014 Parkway QB Brandon Harris accounted for 38 touchdowns in his first year at the helm of head coach David Feaster's high-octane offense. Harris says McNeese State coach Tim Leger offered following Parkway's 45-35 loss to Barbe in the 5A quarters. Harris has nice size at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds.

  • On Sunday, E.D. White's Stephen LeBeouf garnered Class 3A first-team all-state honors at tight end. The 6-foot-4 senior holds a Nicholls State offer.

  • Catholic-New Iberia's new head coach is former Carencro boss Brent Indest. He'll have weapons to work with such as 2015 QB Jason Pellerin and WRs Gabe Fuselier (2014) and Andre Bellefontaine (2015).

  • Hahnville DT Juvon Gales (2013) is up to three offers after Stephen F. Austin and Nicholls State pulled the trigger. Gales' first offer arrived a few weeks ago courtesy of Southeastern Louisiana.

  • Houston added its second pledge from Evangel Christian over the weekend. RB Javin Webb, who turned heads in the 2A playoffs, joins three-star offensive tackle Josh Thomas on the Cougars' commitment list. Houston recruiter Brandon Middleton previously coached at Evangel.

  • Henderson State and Southern are among the programs that have offered Holy Cross WR Kevin Spears, another 2013 prospect who impressed the masses during the postseason. San Diego State is also interested.
