Friday afternoon Michigan State announced Spartans defensive line coach Ted Gill’s contract would not be renewed. Gill, who came with Mark Dantonio from Cincinnati, has served as Dantonio’s defensive line coach for the past nine years and is considered one of coaching’s all-time great guys.
“Ted Gill’s contract runs through March 31, 2013, and will not be renewed,” Dantonio said in a statement released by Michigan State. “He has been a contributing member of my coaching staff for nine years, including the last six seasons here at Michigan State. I wish Ted the best in his future endeavors.”
