To go along with those two national titles Frazier also won four, Big Eight conference championships and had a 33-3 record as a starting quarterback. Frazier was runner-up in the Heisman Trophy vote to Eddie George in 1995. CollegeFootballNews.com released a list of the top 100 players in collegiate history and Frazier was No. 33 on that list.
The 1995 Nebraska Cornhusker football team, coached by Tom Osborne, is considered by many to be the best college football team of all-time. Frazier was named the Sporting News Player of the Year in 1995 along with earning Football Writers, Walter Camp, Associated Press, United Press International and AFCA All-American honors. Frazier's jersey was retired by Nebraska in 1996.
Many of Tommie Frazier's records have been broken, but this play known simply as "The Run" is still the longest touchdown run in bowl game history (75 yards).
