2016 RB has FBS offer, looking to take visits

Holy Cross (New Orleans) 2016 RB Tre Turner has a Tulane offer and is making plays for an unbeaten (4-0) squad. Read on for the latest details on the speedy sophomore...

Tre Turner carried 17 times for 160 yards and a touchdown in the Holy Cross Tigers' 23-0 defeat of West Saint John last week.

The previous week, Turner and the Tigers dispatched old nemesis Chalmette, 44-2.

"We were struggling at the beginning but picked it up in the second half," Turner said following the Chalmette contest. "We came out and scored three touchdowns quickly in the second half.

"I scored one on an inside zone. I saw the cutback was wide-open. I'm running hard all the time, and I've improved on using my speed and vision more."

Turner talked about Tulane, which has offered, in addition to the other schools showing love.

"I'm supposed to go to a Tulane game soon," he said. "Coach David Johnson wants to see me at a game. I've been keeping in touch with them.

"Mississippi State is on me real hard. They want me to come to their games, and Florida State asked me to come to a game. I'm also hearing from Cincinnati, Southern Miss, USC and Nebraska, and I recently received mail from Oregon."

Southern Miss might be next to offer, according to Turner.

"I have a good relationship with Coach (John) Simon," he said. "He really likes me and likes my film. I like Southern Miss. I like their offense."
