LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska defensive end Avery Moss did not make the Huskers' bowl trip to Florida. Head coach Bo Pelini cited "personal reasons," for his absence.
Now more info regarding Moss is starting to hit the news cycle.
Moss started three games in 2013, making 12 appearances and registering 4.5 sacks opposite of sophomore Randy Gregory.
Students have two weeks to enroll in a semester, meaning the final verdict on whether Moss is a Husker next fall remains to be seen.
The cousin of Todd and Andrus Peat, Avery was a Semper-Fi All-American his senior year of high school. Todd was a defensive tackle for Nebraska, who decided to transfer after his freshman season in Lincoln last year. Andrus was one of the biggest targets Nebraska recruited in the 2012 class, but eventually the 5-star committed to Stanford on National Signing Day.
While Moss' on-the-field career has showed much promise the last two seasons, he's made news off-the-field as well.
