Sedrick King committed to Nebraska. What does this mean for the Cornhuskers…
Surprise: Huskers get unexpected commit
After a sneaky in and out visit to Nebraska over the weekend, UCF commitment Sedrick King has switched his verbal to Nebraska. The defensive end confirmed the news in a text message to Big Red Report, but later talked with Bryan Munson about his decision. "I wanted to explore my other options and see what else was out there for me," said the 6-foot-4, 220-pound prospect. "Nebraska has been on me since last spring. They really came into the picture though really hard in the last couple of months. I started to establish a good relationship with them and it made me want to take a visit to see what I was missing." Munson asked King what he brings to the football field as a player. "I play the seven or the six techniques as the defensive end, but really I can play any of the defensive end spots," said King. "I'm a relentless pass rusher that loves to get after the quarterback." King's highlights can be seen here: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/1045737/highlights/89683380 In a text to Big Red Report, King talked about what he liked about Lincoln. "My favorite part was seeing the town and getting to see the facilities," said King. "Meeting the players was an experience and the atmosphere in Lincoln is crazy." Big Red Report will have more on the three-star's commitment to Nebraska in the coming hours. SHARE Josh Harvey has covered college football and recruiting for Fox Sports & Scout.com since 2008.
