DaiShon Neal from Omaha (Nebr.) Central was recently rated one of the top 15 defensive ends in the Midlands region. Neal and his team have their season opener this Thursday in Lincoln.
"I am excited," Neal said. "I am ready to show how much stronger and faster I have gotten. I am lining up mainly at a five, but I might switch sides from time to time based on what teams are doing."
Neal is just down the road from Lincoln so it should be expected that Neal will be around for Huskers home games. He says that he will definitely be in town this weekend for more than just the game.
"I am looking forward to seeing great intensity on the field by the Blackshirts. I really want to watch Randy Gregory, get some pointers and see what he does. He said that he really wanted to work with me in person and said that I have a lot of potential."
Neal says that he is still in touch with all of the recruits, but the communication has dies down a little bit from his end recently. School and practice are definitely cutting into the communication that Neal hopes to catch up on this weekend while in Lincoln.
