Not just a game for Anderson

The weekends are limited for Nebraska commit Avery Anderson before he dawns the helmet with red "N" on it. The future Husker was in Lincoln for the season opener against FAU.

Avery Anderson from Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek is a future Blackshirt. The four-star, Nebraska commit was impressed with the win yesterday by the Huskers in all areas on the field.

"I don't want to give a biased answer which side of the ball I was most impressed with," Anderson said. "It was a great team win. The win was solid in all areas. It was a great win for Nebraska on all levels. I was impressed."

The future Husker spent time talking to the secondary coach and future teammates. He also paid close attention to the techniques that the Huskers were using to prepare himself for his time in Lincoln which is rapidly approaching.

"I got a chance to speak with Coach Charlton Warren and some of my future teammates this weekend. I was really watching them on the field to see the techniques that they were using.

"I thought that the secondary played very well. I thought that Corey Cooper, Nathan Gerry and Josh Mitchell really stood out. I like how physical the team played overall."

The new aesthetics of the scoreboard were a hit overall this weekend. Anderson took note and it adds to the desire to be a Husker that Anderson already has.

"I loved the new look of the scoreboard," Anderson said. "I thought that the atmosphere was perfect. I really can't wait to be part of it. The smoke out of the tunnel walk really hyped up the fans yesterday."
