Leon Jackson returning to the big red

Jackson returns to the fold

It's not even been a month since sophomore running back Leon Jackson decided that he would be moving on, being officially released from his scholarship. Well, now he's coming back. In an official statement from head coach Bill Callahan, he addresses Leon Jackson's situation.

Head Coach Bill Callahan issued the following statement on Tuesday afternoon relative to Leon Jackson's status with the Nebraska football program.

"Today Leon Jackson was re-instated to our team after he and I met and discussed several topics. He indicated to me that he wants to be here at Nebraska and contribute to our football team. We are giving Leon another opportunity to flourish as a student-athlete.

"One of the reasons I chose to come back to college football was the opportunity to help young men like Leon realize their full potential on and off the field. We believe Leon's best days are ahead of him and we look forward to helping him reach his goals."
