Nebraska missed last year on a junior college safety that, had he eventually qualified, could have had huge implications on this season. This year will not be a miss for Nebraska. The Huskers received an verbal from Larry Asante who will come in to play safety for Nebraska this spring. More than that, Nebraska will be getting the scholarship papers too.

The suspense is over and Larry Asante will be a Cornhusker. The 6-foot-1 and 220-pound safety from Coffeyville (Kans.) Junior College chose Nebraska over Kansas State and Clemson. "Yes sir," Asante said. "I made my decision. I will be going to Nebraska." A lot of people could speculate...
