Lucky released from hospital

Following a rather frightening event in which junior running back Marlon Lucky was taken to the emergency room at Bryan LGH West, the condition of the standout tailback has been of major concern. The University issued another press release concerning Lucky's health, and included in that statement is a statement made by Lucky himself.

Nebraska running back Marlon Lucky was released from BryanLGH West Hospital earlier this afternoon.

Statement from Marlon Lucky

"I have been in the hospital and have recovered fully. I am looking forward to getting back to classes and workouts. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and concerns, and now I want to focus on my future. Lastly, thank you again for respecting my privacy."

Statement from Head Coach Bill Callahan

"We are happy that Marlon has been released from the hospital. He will return to classes and re-join our off-season workouts as soon as possible. I know Marlon's teammates are excited to have him back."
