Better Today

Bo Pelini

After a couple of days ago you didn't have to think that it would take the football team long to respond when Head Coach Bo Pelini wasn't happy. It didn't. Yesterday was a solid practice, according to the Head Coach, and today was solid as well. It's part of the process, as he likes to say, which he did after today's practice along with talking about where the team is at thus far.

Post Practice Audio with Bo Pelini

Practice Notes:

The team went full pads today

Junior linebacker Blake Lawrence is still out with a foot injury

Junior running back Roy Helu Jr. is still out with a hamstring. Head Coach Bo Pelini said that he looked at the situation with Helu as minor, and felt it was better to let him rest now versus trying to push him back into practice too soon.

Senior offensive lineman Jacob Hickman was out today with what Pelini said was a minor injury to the oblique. Hickman has since been moved permanently back to center, halting the experiment of him playing right guard while sophomore Mike Caputo took the first-team reps at center. Junior offensive guard Ricky Henry has apparently gotten more reps at right guard with the first-team.

Amongst the subjects covered in the post-practice audio are redshirt freshman safety P.J. Smith and the linebacking corps.
