There wasn't much of a layoff over the Holidays, mostly due to the fact that a lot of players voluntarily stayed in Lincoln versus going home. Whether that's a big factor or not, the fact that there wasn't a real extended layoff has the team ready to play. As Defensive Coordinator Carl Pelini talked about after practice, the speed and detail is very good right now.
