Nearing a decision?

Dylan Admire

It's always a good sign when a recruit comes back to a school for a second look; especially since we are talking about February of that recruit's junior year. But for Dylan Admire it's not like he hasn't seen anything else. He's been to Nebraska once already, Kansas, Kansas State and to Iowa State. A one time commitment timeframe of this summer seems to have shortened up a bit.

Dylan Admire, a 6-foot-4 and 273-pound offensive lineman from Overland Park (Kans.) Blue Valley West is heading up to Nebraska this weekend. This weekend he gets a chance to talk to the head coach and the other assistant coaches again.

"I am going up Friday night," Admire said. "I am looking forward to talking to Coach Bo Pelini. Last time I was there he was on vacation with his family right after signing day.

"I am going to talk to him for 20 or 30 minutes with my family. I am also looking forward to talking to Coach Mike Ekeler and Carl Pelini who I spoke with last week on the phone."

There are some other things, beyond talking personally with the staff that Admire is looking forward to. After seeing Nebraska, and some other schools, Admire has come away the most impressed with Nebraska.

"I want to get a tour of the housing facility while I am there. I would also like to get a good tour of the campus this weekend. I am very excited to get back up there this weekend.

"After being to all of the schools that I have been to I have gotten a feel for all of the places and what they have to offer. I am definitely most impressed with Nebraska's facilities and coaching staff.

"Their coaching staff is really energetic and they are young which is something that I really like about them. I am just looking forward to getting back up there again this weekend."

Since the unofficial visit to Nebraska there has been a visit to Kansas on junior day that led to an offer. After that, Admire went to see two other schools on their junior days.

"I went to Nebraska on that unofficial visit when I got my offer and then I went to Kansas and got an offer on their junior day. I went to Kansas State, Iowa State and I am heading back to Nebraska this weekend."

It seems that Admire is a name that is still getting out there and some schools are definitely evaluating him right now. He is getting some new Big 10 interest as well.

"I still just have the Nebraska and Kansas offers. At Kansas State, I got to speak to Coach Bill Snyder one on one and they seem very interested. At Iowa State, they had a lot of people at their junior day and I didn't get to talk to their coach.

"Northwestern is very interested. I spoke to their coach last week. I might go up there. I also got an invite from Michigan to go up for their junior day. Things are going good right now."

Admire first said that his commitment would probably take place some time this summer or right before the season. Now Admire is thinking that the commitment could come at any time between now and this summer.

"I am thinking now it could be anywhere in the next few weeks or in the next few months. I have kind of seen what I have needed to see. I have been able to compare facilities and coaching staffs and started to evaluate.

"I am starting to really see things and trying to see where I could see myself playing. I could definitely see myself committing somewhere in the next week or in the next month."

Admire has had a chance to communicate with some of the Nebraska commitments, including the two offensive line commitments, and is looking forward to meeting them both. He will meet two commitments this weekend and the third at the spring game.

"I have talked to Ryne Reeves and Tyler Moore all over Facebook and I am looking forward to meeting Ryne up at junior day this weekend. Tyler wasn't sure about being able to make it to junior day, but he was coming up for the spring game.

"They all seem to be really cool. I have also spoken with Jamal Turner, the quarterback from Texas, and he said that he was coming up this weekend as well for junior day."
