2007: Herndon appeared in 11 total games and recorded 22 tackles on the season with one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and one blocked kick.
He blocked a punt against Missouri and also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown against Colorado, collected four tackles at Iowa State, had a career day against Baylor, recording three tackles, 2.5 of which went for 17 yards of losses, one sack and a fumble recovery, had a breakout game against No. 7 Texas, wrapping up four Longhorn runners and registering his first-career interception.
2006: Herndon appeared in seven games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury. He made his first career start against Iowa State. He totaled seven tackles and collected two tackles each against Baylor and Iowa State.
2005: Redshirted.
