Despite scoring 48 second-half points and getting a career-high 20 points from freshman George Marshall, Wisconsin's dreadful first half did in the Badgers, losing 70-66 to Iowa - the third straight defeat UW has suffered at the hands of the Hawkeyes and first of the Big Ten season.

Notes: Badgers hit 11 of their final 13 shots from the field, including three 3-point baskets to cut the Iowa lead to just three points down the stretch ... Redshirt freshman George Marshall tallied a career-high 20 points, scoring all in the second half, on 7-of-10 (.700) from the field and a 3-for-4 (.750) performance from 3-point range ... Freshman Sam Dekker was the only other Badgers player in double-figures, as he finished with 13 points , four assists and four rebounds.
