LSE pair attending spring game

There will be a number of players in attendance for Nebraska's spring game this weekend. The only two in-state players who are holding Nebraska offers will be there. What are they looking forward to about the weekend?

There are a number of high school team mates around the nation who have picked up Nebraska offers. There are only two players from the state of Nebraska that are holding offers though and they just happen to be team mates.

Nebraska's sole commitment, Luke Gifford, and his high school team mate, D.J. Foster, are both planning on being in Lincoln this weekend for the Nebraska spring game. Gifford is taking on the role of player/offensive coordinator in the class this year.

Gifford says that he has been exchanging text messages with a number of Nebraska recruiting targets including recent unofficial visit visitor Darius Wade as well as other recruits.

"I am just looking forward to hanging out with everyone this weekend," Gifford said. "I am also looking forward to hanging out with the coaches afterward. They are very cool."

Both Gifford and Foster have been to the university, living in the same city as the school, a number of times. Foster has a unique tie to the university and he says that is the biggest reason he plans to attend this weekend.

"I want to see my brother, Trey Foster, who is walking on at Nebraska in pads and actually doing something, Foster said laughing.
