Surprise Visitor

Huskers get visit from Texas recruit

The weekend of January 11 has been rumored to be one of the bigger weekends for Nebraska and it's recruiting efforts. It seems like they are doing best with what they know and are luring Texas recruits north. Nebraska was already set to host five from Texas, but surprisingly another has added his name to list.

Nebraska offered Lester Ward a long time ago. Ward, from Brenham (Texas), also committed to Baylor a long time ago. The 6-foot-3 and 195-pound athlete is set to see Lincoln this weekend.

"I know that he is going to visit Lincoln this weekend," Brenham Head Coach Glen West said. "I do know that he will take that trip to Nebraska."

Coach West was unable to comment on Ward's status as of right now. When Big Red Report reached Coach West he was returning from the national coaching convention in Anaheim, Calif.

Big Red Report will continue to seek comment from Ward on his official visit to Nebraska and his commitment status to Baylor.
